He was predeceased by: his parents, George Murphree and Addy Orene Murphree (Boyd); his children, Beverley Murphree and Rafe Hargett; and his brother Duane Murphree.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Robert Brown (Abby) of Tyler, Bradley Francis of Chandler and Elizabeth Francis of Chandler; and his great grandchildren, Landon Chaney and Toby Brown.
