He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Jackson and Dorothy Willene Bishop Hitt; his former wife June Hallman; his wife June Hitt; his sister Jayne Wheeler; his children, Joseph R. Hitt (Terry Hitt), Kenneth A. Hitt (Helga Hitt) and Sandra K. Hitt Duncan (Don Duncan); his stepson Kevin A. Hallman (Ian Hallman); his grandchildren, Katie Hitt, Melanie McCall, Colby Hitt, Madalyn Duncan Huynh, Dylan Duncan and Taylor Hallman; his great grandchildren, Reila S. Rios and Dalton L. Hitt; and his nieces, Tammy Thompson and Diana Moore.
