Betty Mahan Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Mahan of Chalk, Texas, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Schutza and Alma Schutza (Kelinske); her husband Barney Ray Mahan; and her siblings, Virginia Glaze and Glen Schutza.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Dalon Mahan of The Colony and Marla Mahan Jones of San Antonio; her grandchildren, Miles, Austin and Erin; and her great grandchild Gavin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gerald Cemetery (4575 Leroy Pkwy, Elm Mott, TX 76640).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
