He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edwin and Mattie Isabell Barbee (Barlow); his wife Marion Barbee; his son William Thomas "Tommy" Barbee; and his siblings, Kenneth Wayne Barbee and Rebecca Williamson.
He is survived by: his daughter Mary Ann Erwin of Centerville, Texas; his grandchildren, Tyler Shannon (Memorie) of Taylor, Rebecca Barbee of Centerville and Micaela Erwin (Michael Johnson) of College Station, Texas; his great grandchild Kyle Shannon; his sisters, Judy Barbee (Doug Thompson) of Blanco, Cindy Niermann of Conroe and Pookie Brown (Bobby) of Centerville, Texas; and his pets, Birdie, Tuffy and Little Bit. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
