He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Carter and Valeria Carter; and his brothers, Jerry Carter and Frank Carter. He is survived by: his children, Suzanne (Scott Zimmermann) of Tomball and John Carter (Janet) of Houston; his sisters, Nancy (Paul Gonzalez) of Magnolia and Gladys Loftin of Lufkin; and his grandsons, Jared Ferraro of Houston, Noah and Alexander Zimmermann of Tomball. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the American Cancer Society.
