She was predeceased by: her sister Jean Browne; and her daughter Kirstein Speed. She is survived by: her husband Wesley "Wes" Poling of Buffalo; her children, David Laird, Jr. (Janet) of Greenville and Kimberly Allwell of Centerville; her siblings, Craig (Sherry) of Seabring, Florida and Debbie Herrick of Mazon, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Erin, Christian and Emma. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, as well as a host of extended family and close friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Walters Funeral Home (610 S Commerce St, Centerville, TX 75833). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at the Centerville Cemetery W. Carrington.
