He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Hance and Dorothy Roberts (Herren); his brother Eugene Roberts; and his grandchildren, Blaire Wood and Madisyn Franks.

He is survived by: his wife Diane Roberts of Centerville; his children, Brian Roberts (LeeAnn) and Kasey Wood (Clayton) of Buffalo; and his grandchildren, Megan Melcer (Matt), Brady Roberts, Brant Roberts, Garrison Wood, Hudson Wood and Grant Franks.
