Verbon V. Pate Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Verbon V. Pate Jr. of Center, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 22, 2024 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Verbon V. Pate Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
As Verbon departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Verbon. Though Verbon may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Verbon Vester Pate Sr. and Lilly Mae Richards Pate. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Harris Pate of Center; his siblings, Jerry Pate (Deborah) of Center and Virginia Goodrum of Jacksonville; and his nieces and nephews, Clint Pate (Lori), Brandy Cook (John), Sherry Kidd (Steve) and Jeaniece Mukherjee. He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Watson & Sons Funeral Home (1554 TX-7, Center, TX 75935). A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Oaklawn Memorial Park (1554 TX-7, Center, TX 75935).
