He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine Byrd Dickerson; his daughters, Belinda Sue and Mary Elizabeth Patterson; his parents, Ray Sr. Dickerson and Era Dell Dickerson; his siblings, Ray Jr. Dickerson (Rita), Jacky Dickerson, James Dickerson, Virginia (Raymond Biehle) and Nelwyn Owens; his grandson Tommy Hughes; and his brother-in-law Pat Ewing.
He is survived by: his grandson Randall Eugene Maynard (Candace); his children, Donna Woodard (Stanley Orbik), Cindy (David Hughes) and John David (Gina Woodard); his grandchildren, James Eaves (Robyn), Joseph Hughes (Brandi) and Christina (Tyler Primm); his siblings, Kenneth Dickerson (Loyce), Mike Dickerson (Barbara), Kay (Lonnie Glaze) and Carolyn Ewing; and his siblings-in-law, Sam Owens, Joan Dickerson and Teresa Dickerson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
