He is survived by: his children, Michael Strong (Dwight) of Dallas and Andrea Bustos of Denton; his granddaughter Victoria Bustos of Denton; and his sisters, Karen Fancher (Rodger) of Huxley, Beverly Gibbs (James) of Logansport, GueldaSanford of Center, Sheila Walker (Joe) of Joaquin, Annette Bounds (Alan) of Logansport, Mary May of Joaquin, Tommie Deaton (Paul) of Nacogdoches and LaJuan Hallo (Mike) of Nacogdoches. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
