She is survived by: her children, Fredrick Jackson (Cheryl) of Houston, Texas, Delbert Jackson (Rose) of Center, Texas, Eric Jackson of Center, Texas, Scott Jackson (Shawn) of Dallas, Texas., Iretta Jackson of Center, Texas, Elaine Turner (Al) of San Antonio, Texas, Angela Hebert (Chris) of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana and Karla Jackson Edwards of Sunnyvale, Texas.; her stepchildren, Patrick Garrett of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Rod Garrett (Kesha) of Houston, Texas, Connie Richardson of Houston and Anitra Garrett of San Augustine, Texas.; and her brother Lee McCowan of Houston, Texas.. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Her home-cooked meals, no-nonsense advice, gifts of charity and unconditional love for everyone she met will be forever cherished.
