We are sad to announce that on June 11, 2024, at the age of 72, Alice Faye Hughes Weeks of Center, Texas, born in Aimwell, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, A. J. Poole and Eerie Poole; her husband Robert Hughes; and her sisters, Sherrie Vasquez, Nadie Morgan and Diane Poole.

She is survived by : her close friend Bobby Holloway of Center; her daughters, Cindy Furlow (Kenneth) of Huxley and Jennifer Hughes of Center; her grandchildren, Lance Furlow (Haley) of Huxley, Brook Sturgis (Hayden) of Center and Shelby Sturgis of Nacogdoches; her great grandchildren, Karson McCracken of Center and Brooks Buchannon of Center; and her sister Gwen Hyatt (James) of Gary.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Watson & Sons Funeral Home (1554 TX-7, Center, TX 75935). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 at the Oaklawn Memorial Park (1554 TX-7, Center, TX 75935).
