He is survived by: his parents, Rex C. Denny, Sr and Mebane Harrell Denny; his spouse Marjorie Helen Hudson; his children, Bryce Denny of Mansfield, Monica Denny of Greenville and Susan Gentry (Craig) of Celeste; his sister Betty Sellers of Dallas; and his grandchildren, Rex Hamilton Gentry, Glenn Wiedenbeck, Michael Denny and Maxwell Denny. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
