He was predeceased by: his brother W. T. Swindell (Lorene) of Sulphur Springs. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Sue Roach; his children, David L. Swindell (Jessica) of Sherman and Shelly Swindell of Celeste; his sister-in-law Alice Roach (John Garcia) of Celeste; his grandchildren, Paizlee Swindell and Owen Seth Swindell; his friends, Buddy Hopewell, Elwood Jones, Richard Lyday, Ron Lyon, John Taylor, Phil Eggers, William Jay Seely and Don Lambeth; his siblings, Glyn Swindell (Irene) of Garland and Kathryn Louise Martin (Don) of Celeste; his sister-in-law Pat Roach Pruitt (David) of Midland; his nieces and nephews, Rick Martin of Houston, Jan Swindell of Sulphur Springs, Batona Gaytha Swindell and William Robert Swindell of Garland; and his friends, Melvin Smith, Ralph Harold Evans and Archie Lowe. He is also survived by numerous other relatives including nieces, nephews, and cousins.
