He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Mendoza and Esther Mendoza. He is survived by: his wife Irma; his son Lukas (April Garcia); and his siblings, Daniel Mendoza (Laura Zarate), Stella Tietz, Yolanda Garza (Xavier), Rosendo Mendoza (Cathy) and Martin Mendoza. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:15 PM at the Beck Funeral Home (15709 Ranch Rd, Austin, TX 78717). A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery (14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660).
