He is survived by: his wife Betty Turner Hornsby. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Cedar Hill Church of Christ.
