It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin Joseph Hammer of Cedar Hill, Texas, who passed away on February 5, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Hammer and Gertrude Hammer; and his son-in-law Richard Cabello. He is survived by: his wife Hattie Hammer; his siblings, Roger Hammer and Valerie Giese; his children, Tim Hammer (Carol) and Debbie Cabello; and his grandchildren, Mark Cabello (Vivianna), Natalie Hammer, Jacob Cabello (Kaylee) and Brooke Cabello.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the NT-NL Fund for Leaders, 2620 W Grauwyler Rd, Irving, TX 75061 and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 4729 S Carrier Pkwy, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
