She was predeceased by: her siblings, Jessie Watts, Ruby Lewis, Ruth Kelly and Herbert Wilder; her husband Carl Edward McMillian; and her siblings, Margaret McGowan, Johnnie Jones, James Wilder (Rita) and Tony (Diane McGowan).

She is survived by: her son Jeremy Rashaud McMillian (Deonna); and her grandson Karl McMillian. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.

Mamie started her professional career at UT Southwestern Hospital and then later joined Parkland Memorial Hospital, where she played an integral role in the Parkland Foundation.
