She was predeceased by: her parents, Buster Brooks and Lucy Brooks; and her siblings, J. L., Frank, William, Rufus, Homer, Danny, Melvin, Henry, Bernice, Thelma and Mae.
She is survived by: her spouse U. S. Navy; her children, Peggy Calhoun (Calvin), Larry Hines, Isaac Hines (Donna), Beverly Hines and Teresa Johnson (Reginald); and her sister Clara Powell. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
