He was predeceased by: his parents, Alberta Oswald and Herbert Oswald (Ozzie); and his brother Denny. He is survived by: his wife Betty Teeter (Betty Boop); his children, Kevin Oswald (Tammy) of Alvarado, David Oswald (Jennifer) of Midlothian, Texas and Tonya Sims (Derrick) of Arlington, Texas; and his grandchildren, Megan Oswald Norwood (John), Miste Bailey (Clifton), Mikca Hancock (Aaron), Vanessa Oswald, Jayson Copes and Daniel Copes (Brittney). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren and numerous family members and friends.
