It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dora Moreland (Cedar Hill, Texas), who passed away on February 18, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Reverend Oscar Harris; and her siblings, Morris Harris, Lillian Richardson, James Donald Harris, Ruby Smith Bell, Marjorie Comeaux, Stanley B. Harris, Waureen Harris, Jimmy Bruce Harris, Oscar L. Harris, Lillie Alice Harris and Mary Helen Hayes.
She is survived by: her spouse Eddie Moreland; her children, Leslie M. Moreland and Eddie Moreland Jr.; her grandchildren, Charles, Anthony, Chantal, Benjamin (Micah), Caitlyn W. Moreland and Alexis Moreland; her great grandchild Ezekiel; her sisters, Jenny Lewis of Beaumont, Texas and Gwendolyn Antoine (Joe) of Beaumont, Texas; her siblings-in-law, Albert Moreland, III of Atlanta, Georgia, Barbara Moreland and Yolanda Moreland Forrest; her goddaughter Mamie D. Dacanay; and her close friends, Adelaide Strothers and Gwendolyn Hardy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
