Santiago Jimenez Obituary
Santiago Jimenez, 64, of Cedar Creek passed away on August 31, 2019. Santiago was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, the son of Jesus Jimenez Espinoza and Bernardina Cordova Coronado. It was a delight for him to go to work every day as a welder, a very dedicated hard worker. Santiago enjoyed traveling, playing guitar, tending to his animals on his "little farm", attending church at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
His love for birds was present on his farm, chickens, peacocks and his companion, parrot, "Guerro.". Santiago was the most patient, kind and loving father and grandfather. He is survived by three daughters, Emanda Jimenez, Maria Guadalupe Jimenez Medrano and Erica Salinas; three sons, Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Y Santiago David Jimenez Soto and Rick Salinas and ; partner, San Juanita Falcon; sisters, Cecylia Jimenez Cordova, Lourdes Jimenez Cordova; brothers, Lazaro Jimenez Cordova, Zenon Jimenez Cordova, Santos Jiménez Cordova, Juan Jiménez Cordova, Pedro Jiménez Cordova, Marcelino Jiménez Cordova, Jose Jiménez Cordova; grandchildren: Kayla Jaimes, Isabella Rosales, Ethan Rosales, Christian Salinas , Guadalupe Michel Jiménez Mata, Ariel Salinas, Tiffany Trujillo, Lynette Trujillo, Samantha Trujillo Benjamin Trujillo, Jesus Emmanuel Jimenez Medrano and Elias Josué Jiménez Medrano.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Marcelo Jiménez Cordova. Viewing will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Bastrop Providence Funeral Home in Bastrop with Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Ascension Catholic Church, 804 Pine St., Bastrop, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019, followed by interment at Upper Cedar Creek Cemetery in Cedar Creek, Texas.
