He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Reed and Merlie Baker Reed Hensley; and his siblings, Chester Reed, Pauline Lucinda "Cindy" Ramond, John "Big John" Hensley and Ambrose "Jim" Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Fred Ray Reed (Tammy), David Reed (Heidi) and Frieda Reed Stark (Gary); and his brothers, Ralph Hensley (Diana) and A. J. Hensley (Barbara). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
