He was predeceased by: his parents, Natividad Benavides Benavidez and Ramon Pedro Benavidez; his siblings, Pedro, Cristoforo, Hacinto Benavidez (Died), Domingo Benavidez and Lucia Benavidez Villarreal; and his stepmother Rosa Benavidez.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Violet Bredna Benavidez Orosco and Michael Brandon Benavidez Hernandez; his wife Amanda Benavidez of Cedar Creek; his children, Edna Benavidez Martinez (Nick) of Cedar Creek, Gary Lee Benavidez (Anna) of Kyle and Robert Martinez (Linda) of Houston; his half-sister Carolina Benavidez of Encino; and his sister-in-law Marta Benavidez of San Antonio. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
