He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Riley and Mary Jo Alexander; his wife Glyn Rose Kelly; his sister-in-law Jewel Kelly-Bennight; his brother John Riley Alexander, Jr. (Willie Bell Alexander); his siblings-in-law, Tom, Laverne Kelly Townsend, Howard, Eva Kelly Meehan, L. M. Bennight and Carl Kelly; and his nephews, James Taylor Meehan and Tommy Ray Townsend. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to Cedar Creek Cemetery Association.
