He was predeceased by: his parents, Elgin Wendel and Norma Wendel of Fredericksburg; his son Robert Wendel of Cedar Creek; and his brother Hunter Wayne Wendel of Dale, Texas.. He is survived by: his wife Lillie of Cedar Creek, Texas; his children, Don Wendel of Kyle, Texas and Beverly Wendel Foust of Bastrop; his granddaughter Gina Wendel Glass of Yorktown, Texas; and his sisters, Chere Durst of Llano and Bernice Bates of Bandera Texas. He is also survived by many grandkids and great grandkids along with nieces and nephews.
