He was predeceased by: his parents, Captain Delmar Leidy Sr. and Jean Blaylock Leidy; his sister Melanie "Smokie" Dickerson; and his daughter Heather Anne Leidy. He is survived by: his wife Kaye Terry; and his sister Greta Weaver of Johnson City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (4045 Farm to Market 535, Bastrop, TX 78602). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery (4045 Farm to Market 535, Bastrop, TX 78602).

In lieu of flowers, Del would prefer a donation to International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
