He was predeceased by: his parents, Clementine Mechler and Elmer Mechler; his brother Gilbert Mechler; and his grandchildren, Christi and Benjamin Mechler Huron.
He is survived by: his wife Sharyn; his children, Mark Mechler (Sonia), Patricia Mechler (Dee Taubert) and Natalie Benke (Cole); and his grandchildren, Alex Rodriguez (Brittany), Angelica, Brandon, Sabrina, Dalton Mechler, Katie, Clemie, Hannah, Lily Huron, Trystan, Nicholas Benke, Nathan, Zachary and Piper Taubert. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
