It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maggie L. Newman of Castroville, Texas, born in Uvalde, Texas, who passed away on March 18, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Irvin and Louise Davis (Mear); her husband Charlie; her sister Henrietta "Penny" Davis Ivy; and her siblings-in-law, Harrison Ivy and Janice Davis (Sweeten).
She is survived by: her children, David Allen Newman (Kathy) of Junction, Henry Irvin Newman (Kathy) of Angleton, Charles Wayne Newman (Judy) of Lytle and Jan Newman Tschirhart (Bill) of Castroville; her siblings, Bobbie Jean Landrum (Robert) of New Braunfels, Deborah Burkett (Roy) of Dickinson and John Wesley Davis of Leakey; and her aunt Billie Jean Davis of Uvalde. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
