He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis E. Hart, Sr. and Pauline Hart; his wife Jean LaVerne Hart; his daughter Linda J. Kam; and his siblings, Mary Elizabeth Mayes and Carl X. Richter, Sr..

He is survived by : his former life partner Marcia Lee Richardson; his sons, Louis E. Hart, III and Arthur C Hart (LeeAnn); his grandsons, Joshua L. Hart (Sarah) and Jonathan M. Hart (Iris); his great grandchildren, Lilly, Elena and Louis; his son-in-law Chester Kam; and his caregiver Linda Trinidad. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends.
