She was predeceased by: her parents, Aubrey Leroy Steele and Margaret Irby Eikner Steele; and her nephew Joshua Steele. She is survived by: her children, Matt Perry (Kara) of Canadian, Texas and Melissa Lomax (Kirk) of San Antonio, Texas; her grandchildren, Paige Perry, Ashley Perry, Kyler McClendon, Konnar McClendon, Landon Lomax, Reagan Landon, Ryan Lomax and Abby Lomax; her great grandchildren, Kason Lomax and Kade Lomax; her brother Richard Steele (Jane) of Pampa, Texas; and her niece Ellen Steele Nedemeyer of Ft. Worth, Texas..
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Linda's memory to Doctors Without Borders, which she was very passionate about.
