He was predeceased by: his parents, John Clifford Penrose and Hazel J. Hoover Penrose; and his brother John Dale Penrose. He is survived by: his sons, Ronald Penrose of San Antonio, James Penrose (Melaine Lopez-Penrose) of Allen and John Clifford Penrose of Plano; his stepchildren, Antonio Gonzales (Gail) of Forney and Lucinda Barnes of Allen; his grandchildren, Ayden Lopez-Penrose, Anthony Lopez-Penrose, Ariana Lopez-Penrose, Alexxus Ann Penrose, Mackenzie Jordan Penrose and Johnathan James Penrose; and his brother Russell Penrose of Indiana. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
The military honors was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
