It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julian Hernandez Mascorro Sr. of Castroville, Texas, who passed away on April 3, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Florencio Mascorro, Sr. and Herminia Hernandez Mascorro; his daughter Monica Velasquez; his son-in-law Juan Manuel De Leon; and his siblings, Geraldo Mascorro and Martha Mascorro.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Mascorro of Castroville; his children, Raul Mascorro (Heather) of San Antonio, Melinda Howard (Doc) of Castroville, Julian Mascorro, Jr. of Castroville, JoAnn Mercado (Felix) of Castroville, Delia Walter (Joe) of Pittsburgh, PA, Angela Marie Rodriguez of Castroville and Angelica Sauceda (Michael) of Castroville; his son-in-law Javier S. Velasquez; and his brothers, Luciano Mascorro (Adela) of Somerset, Amado Mascorro (Rosa) of Castroville and Florencio Mascorro, Jr. (Amelia) of Weslaco. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren.
