He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Koneski and Antonia Koneski (Baszak); his wife Miriam J. Koneski (Boyer); his sisters, Cecelia, Mary, Helen and Stella; his daughter Angela Toth (Koneski); and his grandsons, Joseph Erevelles and Paul Beretsky.
He is survived by: his brothers, Anthony and Frank Koneski; his children, Georgene Kocis (Andrew), Regina Beretsky (Edward), George W. Koneski, Jr. (Arline), Stephen Koneski (Lisa) and Christine Erevelles (Winston); and his grandchildren, Daniel, Alison, Shana, Jason, Jonathan, Eric, Tara, Robin, Tyler, Ryan, Karina, Kyle, David, Claire and Michael. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
