She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis J. Durney and Mary Veronica McCann Durney; her children, Donna Hecker, George Hecker, Jr. and John "Jack" Hecker; and her siblings, Theresa Coventry (Bob) and Charles Durney.
She is survived by: her husband George Joseph Hecker; her children, Mary Barnhart (Gerry) of Schaghticoke, Patricia Hecker of Houston, Michael Hecker (Christine) of Boerne, Tresa Shalit (Andrew) of Castroville, Rita Anderson (Scott) of Austin, Ed Hecker (Norma) of Castroville and Tom Hecker (Theresa) of Castroville; her daughter-in-law Kadi Hecker of San Antonio; and her siblings, James Durney (Pat) and Gloria Dumont (Ron). She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
