He was predeceased by: his sisters, Barbara Fields, Joyce Beard and Eleanor "Lovie" Heye; and his brothers-in-law, William T. "Billy" Tschirhart, Sr., Maurice Rihn, Sr and Harold Balmos.
He is survived by: his spouse Merilyn Marie "Tootsie" Tschirhart; his children, Mark Fields, Mary Jean Fields, Amy Whitworth, Stephen Whitworth, Joe Fields, Deb Fields, Andy Fields, Donna Fields, Paul Fields and Melissa Fields; and his grandchildren, Arthur Heye, Connie Balmos, Anna Louise Hans (Harold) and Alfrene Tschirhart.
Carl's family request memorials be given in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
