He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Grist and Harold Grist of Castle Hills; and his brother John Thomas "Tommy" Grist. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his daughters, Amy Laden (Ryan) and Alissa MacVey (Andrew); his grandchildren, Zachary Laden, Austin Laden, Riley Laden, Eve MacVey, Lily MacVey and Colton MacVey; and his brother Kent Lawson Grist (Deanna).
