He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Peters and Frankie Peters; his wife Eddie Peters; his son Calvin Wayne Peters; his siblings, Margaret Grant, Shirley Beard, Margie Nell Coats and Bobby Peters; his sister-in-law Nancy Smith; and his nephews, Herbert Coats, Jr. and Derrick Peters.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly Chism (Robert), Barbara Peters, Carl Peters (Priscilla) and Steve Peters (Chandra); his daughter-in-law Lutricia Peters; his brothers, Billy Don Smith of Michigan and Billy Charles Peters of Longview, Texas; and his siblings-in-law, Herbert Coats, Sr., Earlie, Wilkerson of Greenville and Maudie Peters of Cason, Texas.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.
