He was predeceased by: his parents, Harris Beal Ryan and Virginia Twine Ryan; and his siblings, Patsy Martin and Harris Ryan, II. He is survived by: his siblings, Audrey Alexander and Harold; his sister-in-law Deana Ryan of Illinois; and his nephews, Dean (Sheri) and Ricky. He is also survived by numerous cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

The family requests donations be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, American Cancer Society, or to any charity of choice in honor of Gene Ryan.
