It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Aubrey Wedgeworth Sr. (Carthage, Texas), who passed away on May 15, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Ellie Joyce Brooks; his brother Tracy; and his siblings-in-law, Jessie Jo Wedgeworth, Mary Wedgeworth and Bubba Clinton.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Hight (Jerry), Jenice Fitts (H. H. "Skip") and W. A. Wedgeworth, Jr. (Robbie) of Carthage; his grandchildren, Alysha Cockerham (Shane) of Carthage, Jeremy Hight (Stevie Gail) of Larue, Jesse Hight (Anabella) of San Angelo, John Hight (Ashley) of Sarepta, LA, Shannon Davis (Crystal) of Tatum, Trevor Wedgeworth of Carthage, David Fitts (Taylor) of Carthage and Matthew Fitts of Forney; his great grandchildren, Aubrey Jane, Jameson Hight, Jesse, Lorenzo Hight, Haley, Jubal, Brookelyn, Jude Hight, Brylee Davis, Cohen, Harper, Ellie Brooks Cockerham, Caleb Wedgeworth and Rowan Fitts; his siblings, Juanita Clinton, James Wedgeworth (Dorothy), Joe Dan Wedgeworth and Grady Wedgeworth (Jane); and also, Jeremy Hight, Jesse Hight, John Hight, Shannon Davis, Trevor Wedgeworth, Matt Fitts, David Fitts, Shane Cockerham, Sandra Adams, Ruby Carter and Gail Matlock. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
