He is survived by: his spouses, Vesta Pauline "Polly" Bynum and Polly Helms of Carthage; his children, George Patrick "Pat" Helms of Carthage, Sue Shabo (Rick) of Camano Island, WA, Dawn Jacobs (Ronnie) of McRae and Lori Walter (Ed) of Aubrey, TX; his daughter-in-law Jeannene Helms Horn of Shelbyville; and his nephew Tom Pharr. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
