It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Scotty Holmes of Carthage, Texas, born in Marshall, Texas, who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father S. L. Holmes; his grandparents, Priestly, Esther Baugh Holmes, Buell E. and Bernice Nail Alford; his uncles, Norman Holmes, Charles, Wilburn Spiller and Bill Lillibridge; his aunt Betty Alford; and his cousin Ronnie Alford.
He is survived by: his mother Dena Faye Alford Holmes of Carthage; his aunts and uncles, Jo Ann Alford Herndon of Carthage, Glorianne Holmes Spiller of Carthage, Mary Esther Lillibridge of Alvin and Johnny Lynn Holmes of Carthage; and his cousins, Joe Herndon, Carol Ann Herndon Cockerham, Jerry Alford, Andy Spiller, Christy Holmes Youngblood, David Holmes, Michael Lillibridge and Brian Lillibridge.
The family suggests memorials be made to any Mental or Behavioral Health facilities or to please take time to write to your state representatives requesting that more facilities and services become available to those suffering from Mental illness.
