She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Gillespie and Nettie Lou Koonce Ritter; her sisters, Louise Williams, Willie Mae Chadwick, Billie Dean Brooks and Olyene Johnson; and her half-siblings, Roy Miller and Vinnie Arnold.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jane Jeffress (Dean) of Carthage and Sandra Mitchell of Lake Murvaul; her grandchildren, Deana Pruett (Chris) of Alabaster, AL, Jennifer Sawyer (Todd) of Tyler and Michael Mitchell (Tilda) of Cleveland; and her great grandchildren, Caleb Pruett, Carleigh Pruett, Tiffany Mitchell and Cary Mitchell.
The family suggest memorials be made to Murvaul Cemetery.
