It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Alvin Posey of Carthage, Texas, who passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert and Angelina Zuma Posey; his wife Mary Lou Brown; his grandson Aaron Thane; his great grandchild Douglas Wayne Freeman; and his sister Sandra Lee Posey.
He is survived by: his children, Mellinda Posey and Todd Thane; his grandson Michael Kelly, Jr.; his great grandchild Bentley Duane Kelly; and his siblings, Alfred Posey, Dona Scott and Janice Page.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home (1131 TX-149, Carthage, TX 75633).
