She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thurman Turpin and Ruth Avalia Turpin (Bryan); her brothers, Don Turpin and Rufus Turpin; her sister-in-law Joanne Turpin; her niece Susan Turpin; and her great-nephew Eric Mackin.

She is survived by: her daughters, Liza Patterson (Clay) and Sara Turpin (Clay); her sons-in-law, James Patterson and Sidney Womack; her granddaughters, Lily Patterson and Claire Patterson; her sister-in-law Frances Turpin; and her nieces, Jennifer Mackin, Janet Summerford and Joyce Brooks.
