It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman Reid Carter (Carthage, Texas), born in Henderson, Texas, who passed away on February 10, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, James Edward Carter and Norma Jane Jennings; and his son-in-law Greg Gates. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Carter of Carthage; his daughters, Rhonda Gates of Houston and Regina Humphries (Charles) of Carthage; his sister Marilyn Mason of Dallas; his grandchildren, Mary Linn King (Cody) of Liberty Hill, Karen Leann Gates of Houston, Aaron Humphries of Livingston and David Humphries (Sarah) of Woods Community; and his great grandchildren, Charlie Humphries, Ellis Kate King, Roman David Humphries and Emmy Linn King. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
