He was predeceased by: his parents, Belo Taylor and Norene Taylor; his wife Joan Taylor; his son Mark Taylor; and his brother Robert Taylor.

He is survived by: his children, Tim Taylor (Cathy) of Decatur, AL, Katrina Brumley (Bill) of Vidor, TX and Tonya Allen (Mitch) of Colmesneil, TX; and his daughter-in-law Libbie Taylor of Cypress, TX. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.i.
