She was predeceased by: her parents, Melgon Walker and Annie Adams Walker (Adams); her siblings, Hestelle Brown (Walker) and John M. Walker, Jr.; her husband Waymon Cloys Powell; and her sons, Stanley Ray Powell and Randall Kevin Powell.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Debby Hubert; and her children, Stacy Morris, Eddie Chatman, Shawn Curry (Mandy), Joshua Curry (Ashley), Kevin Curry (Cheryl Powell) and Isaac. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews.
