He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Ritter and Gwendolyn Roberson Ritter. He is survived by: his daughter Dana Legler (Clarke); his sister Tommie Jo Smith; and his grandchildren, Will Whitmer, Jack Whitmer (Will Dawson) and Kate Whitmer.
