She was predeceased by: her parents, Hester V. Hailey and Robert William Hardy; and her brother Jimmy Hardy. She is survived by: her husband Steve Mathis of Dotson; her children, Stacy Mathis of Dotson and Kelley Tucker (Arnold) of Carthage; her sister-in-law Emma Hardy of Carthage; her grandchildren, Laci of Carthage, Charles Maraggia of Carthage, Blake of Carthage and Brittany Dickens of Carthage; her great grandchildren, Cole, Evelyn, Alex, August and Keagan; and her niece Terry Kelso of Seguin.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (160 Co Rd 1521, Carthage, TX 75633). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family requests memorials to be made to the Bethel Baptist Church.
